Description
- Porcelain
- 11.3cm., 4 1/2 in. long, 5.5cm., 2 1/8 in. high
raised anchor period, of fluted form with a scalloped rim edged in brown, with slender scroll handle, finely painted with a spray of flowers below an insect, with further small scattered flower sprigs to the interior,

Condition
In overall good appearance and condition. There are a few faint fine scattered glaze cracks from firing. There is a burst glaze blister to the interior disguised by a flower sprig. Slight ware to rim at tip of spout, and tiny scattered scratches to brown rim

Chelsea cream jugs of this form rarely appear at auction. A very close example with this type of flower decoration was sold at Christie's London, anonymous sale, 7th July 1997, lot 51.
