  • 20cm., 8in. high
cover fitted with a contemporary enamel disc in the manner of David Altenstetter, angel finial supporting enamel marriage coats of arms, further coat of arms engraved on the rim, caryatid handle and domed foot, the body later decorated or replaced, marked on body and cover

Condition

cover, handle and foot original, the body has been later decorated but may have been replaced for a glass or hardstone body which got broken. This idea would accord with the quality of the cover and handle and enamel disc, the foot has lost its gilding, underside with scratches, interesting piece
