of circular form surmounted with a strawberry finial, the handles formed as interlocking tendrils tied with ribbons, finely painted with scenes of birds in landscapes, within tooled foliate scroll borders, the scale-ground highlighted in gilding, the stand rim pierced with panels of flower baskets and scrollwork, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed numeral 22 to stand,
