Montrachet 2012 Domaine des Comtes Lafon
Côte de Beaune, Grand Cru
Only 3 barrels made, as against 3 1/2 in 2003, 4 in 2010 and a stupendous 6 in 2004 and 2009! Honied nose, like honeysuckle, probably due to the hail - Dominique Lafon does not like this, but the great 1992 had it! A kind of heavenly lime juice on the palate, with great length and persistence. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
