The necklace composed of textured gold links alternating with coral and chrysoprase cabochons, length 21 inches, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 13268 CS, with French workshop and assay marks; circa 1970. The pendant-brooch similarly set, signed VCA, numbered 13V455-3, with French workshop and export mark; circa 1970.

Condition

In overall very good condition, with light scratches to the mounting, commensurate with age and wear. The necklace signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 13268 CS, with French workshop and assay marks. The pendant signed VCA, numbered 13V455-3, with French workshop and export marks. Both stamped OR 750 for 18 karat gold. The necklace cabochons measuring approximately 12.5 x 10.4 mm. The pendant cabochons measuring approximately 9.0 x 6.0 mm, centering a coral cabochon measuring approximately 10.0 x 10.0 mm. The corals ranging in color from light pink to orangy pink, with typical color banding and mottling visible under 10x magnification. The translucent chrysoprase is a medium nicely saturated bluish green and well-matched. The links are well-articulated, the clasps fitted securely. The necklace gross weight approximately 67 dwts. The pendant gross weight approximately 27 dwts. Please note this lot is restricted to US only buyers due to endangered species materials.
