Set with turquoise cabochons, accented by single-cut diamonds, spaced by baguette diamonds, length 20¾ inches, with a removable segment measuring 6¼ inches, numbered 7200, with French assay and workshop marks; circa 1930s.

Condition

In good condition, the platinum mounting with signs of light wear. Clasp of shorter segment with French workshop mark and French assay mark for 18 karat gold, the mounting with French assay marks for platinum. Clasp of longer segment numbered 7200, the mounting also with French assay marks for platinum. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 10.00 carats, are approximately H-J color, predominantly VS-SI clarity. The largest turquoise cabochon measuring approximately 7.90 x 6.80 x 3.35 mm, the smallest measuring approximately 4.90 x 5.60 x 2.80 mm; the turquoise cabochons are a light greenish blue to medium-deep greenish blue color, evenly colored with few signs of matrix. The largest cabochon link is fitted on the reverse with a pendant hook. This item may be worn as a 20¾ inch necklace, or as a 14½ inch necklace and 6¼ inch bracelet. The lot includes two additional links measuring approximately ⅞ inch each, of matching design, which could be reattached by a jeweler to lengthen either segment.
