The ring composed of an oval-shaped carnelian cabochon, stacked over a carnelian plaque, framed by round diamonds within an architectural mount, together with a pair of bangle-bracelets each composed of four segments of carnelian anchored by gold ropework motifs, ring size 5½, signed Webb, internal circumference of bangles 6½ inches, signed Webb, numbered HA43 and HA45.

Condition

In overall good condition, with light surface scratches to the mountings, commensurate with age. One carnelian segment bears a fracture and this bangle must be worn with care. Ring and bangles each signed Webb. Ring inscribed Plat and 18K for platinum and 18 karat gold. Bangles inscribed 18K for 18 karat gold and numbered HA43 and HA45, respectively. Carnelian is well-matched, a translucent deep reddish orange color. One carnelian cabochon in the ring measures approximately 30.00 x 22.00 x 2.00 mm, the other measuring approximately 19.20 x 14.30 mm (depth not measurable). The diamonds in the ring weighing a total of approximately 0.60 carat, are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. The bangles with safety closures. Total gross weight of bangles approximately 101 dwts, ring approximately 22 dwts. Circa 1970s-1980s. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from David Webb.
