The spherical carved coral Ibex embellished with round emeralds and diamonds, and a marquise-shaped diamond eye, signed David Webb, two diamonds missing.

Condition

In fair to good condition, with a very minor abrasion to the tip of one of the coral horns, and two diamonds missing from the inside of one of the emerald and diamond cuffs, not visible when worn. The reverse of the brooch with some small areas of discolored adhesive. Signed David Webb and Webb, and inscribed 18K for 18 karat gold and platinum. The diamonds weighing a total of approximately 3.80 carats, are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. The emeralds weighing a total of approximately 2.25 carats, are medium very slightly bluish green, moderately included. The coral is medium-light reddish orange with white mottling throughout. One coral plaque is loose and could benefit from a repair. Overall length approximately 2¾ inches, width 1¾ inches. Circa 1960s.
