The reeded gold case comprising multiple compartments including one for powder, one with a bakelite comb, a mirror, and a lipstick holder, with a baguette sapphire thumbpiece, one terminal set with a cluster of single-cut sapphires, engraved 'March 21, 1965', 'F.O.W.W.A.L.Y. George', gross weight approximately 298 dwts, signed Gucci, with Italian registry mark, one small sapphire missing; circa 1965.

Condition

In good overall condition commensurate with age, with surface scratches and small dents to the exterior, some minor discoloration to the gold, one small sapphire missing, and two small chips and age spots to the mirror. Gucci signature located on main compartment and on comb holder. Italian registry marks from Florence. Stamped 750 multiple times for 18 karat gold. The six sapphires on the exterior of the case are a medium-light violetish blue, of decorative quality. The sapphire thumpeice on the lipstick case is a medium-deep blue, eye-clean. Bakelite comb is in excellent condition. Lipstick holder is in very good condition. Overall measurements approximately 7 x 2½ x 1 inches.
