The brooch centering a round rubellite cabochon, surrounded by oval-shaped rubellite cabochons and four cultured pearls measuring approximately 9.0 mm, signed Gage; the earrings centering two rubellite cabochons with the reverse applied with mother-of-pearl, accented by four cultured pearls, signed Gage, with maker's mark; total gross weight approximately 45 dwts. With signed box.

All pieces in good condition. BROOCH: The central cabochon rubellite is a medium deep purplish red, heavily included. The smaller rubellites are a lively medium reddish purple, lightly included. The stones have faceted pavilions. The slightly baroque cultured pearls present a silvery body color, medium luster, wrinkled skins. Dimensions: Approximately 2 inches in diameter. EARRINGS: The rubellites are a medium reddish purple, moderately included with one exhibiting a small chip. Cultured pearls measuring approximately 7.0 mm are a silvery white, medium luster. Earring posts later added. Dimensions: approximately 1 1/2 x 1 inches.
