Description

Of scrolled foliate design, set with single- and circular-cut diamonds and natural pearls, suspending five natural pearls, length measuring 135 x 80mm, brooch detachable, two diamonds deficient.

Condition

Accompanied by Gem and Pearl lab report no. 14624, dated August 2017, stating that the Five drop-shaped natural pearls are part-drilled (pearl on right also drilled) pearls. Ten Loose, part drilled pearls, most also drilled or Chinese-drilled, and some with worked/polished areas/bases mounted with numerous round brilliant-cut and eight-cut diamonds on diadem. The centre drop approximately length 8.4-8.5 mm in width, length 11 mm. Largest button approximately length 9.5-10.0 x8.5 mm, smallest button 7.7-8.2 x 7.1 mm. Natural pearls of irregular shape, not well matched cream to white body colour, some with pink overtone, lustre medium to low, drill holes visible on some pearls, some with black indentations. Ringing is visible, one with crack running along pearl, some crazing and some blemishes. Total diamond weight approximately 5.80-6.20 carats. Estimated colour approximately H-J, estimated clarity SI on average. Surfaces scratches and discoloration to metal, some small dents and nicks. The diadem pin with play, brooch fitting in good working order, closes securely. In good condition.
