Description

The cream and silver patterned silk pouch of trapezoid outline, to a black enamel fastening, set with single-cut diamonds, centring upon a later mabé pearl and circular-cut diamond push piece, the strap of cylinder-shaped links spaced with seed pearls, opening to reveal a compartment and two card slots, measuring approximately 155 x 120 x 10mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay marks.

Condition

Stamped and marked PLAT for platinum to each interior side of fastening. Signed Cartier, numbered 138564. Mabé pearl clasp approximately 10.9mm diameter, of white bodycolour with strong rose, green and yellow overtones. Pearls on chain, cream bodycolour with white and green overtones. All pearls with banding, areas of pitting and minor surface imperfections to nacre, areas of crazing. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to weigh approximately 2.2-2.5 carats in total. Ares of chipping to enamel concentrated around either end. Clasp closing securely, in good working order. Material in good condition, some areas of staying and fraying around edges. Metallic thread to exterior tarnished. Inside with two small pockets. Scratches to all surfaces consistent with age and wear, trace of colder to one jumpring. Condition commensurate with age, overall good.
