Description

  • hessonite garnet, gold
Comprising: a necklace and pair of earrings; the necklace composed of graduated cushion-shaped hessonite garnets in cannetille mounts and flower connections, suspending a similarly-set cross shaped detachable pendant; earrings similarly set, necklace approximately 380mm, earrings with hook fittings.

Condition

Hessonite garnet deep brownish orange, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, some are surface reaching, with some surface scratches, small chips and nicks and rubbed facet edges. Metal surfaces with scratches and dents throughout, some dents are prominent. Discolouration visible throughout. Some of the hoop flower connections are not soldered together and slightly bent open. Clasp closes securely. Earrings later adapted of spare links, with solder visible to reverse, approximately 35mm. Overall condition commensurate with age and wear.
