Description

  • Gold/enamel/diamonds/ruby
Composed of a series of graduated open work oval links, the front links set with an oval ruby within a surround of cushion-shaped and rose diamonds and bordered in black enamel, the rear six links with a quatrefoil motif reserved on a red guilloché enamel ground, inner circumference approximately 165mm, French assay and maker's marks. 

Condition

Stamped with French assay marks and partial French maker's mark L with playing card on clasp tongue. Rubies purplish-red, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching, some wear areas of light wear to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, mixed colours and clarities, estimated total diamond weight approximately 7.00 - 9.00 carats. Enamel with scratches and areas of minor chips and losses. Clasp secure, with safety chain. Scratches to surfaces consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
