The square cream dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel-hands, within a square bezel and shutters, on a black enamel base with cabochon onyx double crowns, to a baton-shaped suspension with reeded panel detail, numbered, French assay and maker's mark, later brooch fitting.

Condition

Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Manual winding movement, working at the time of cataloguing. Surmount stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold, partial maker's mark for Verger Frères, additional mark MD, numbered 1104, stamped Bté SGDG. Additional French assay mark for 18 carat gold to watch back. Areas of minor chipping and wear to black enamel case. Onyx black, opaque, with polishing lines and light scratches to surface. Light scratches and areas of discolouration to metal surfaces consistent with wear. Shutter mechanism intact and responsive. Pin fitting secure. Overall dimensions approximately 41 x 39mm.
