Modelled as a shooting star, collet-set with brilliant-cut diamonds and inscribed ' We are entering the light of stars, sun and moon. What a marvelous sight!', together with one wire-link and one snake-link neckchain, pendant with loop suspension and brooch fitting, snake-link neckchain approximately 420mm, each chain with Italian maker's marks.

Condition

Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold and Italian marker's mark on each chain. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 6.50-7.00 carats, estimated to be approximately I-J colour, SI on average. Surface scratches, some scratches more prominent to metal. Some metal on pendant is slightly bend. Some very light discoloration to reserve of pendant. Clasps are in good working order, they close securely. Length pendant approximately 133mm. In good condition. Accompanied by pouch from Gemma Gioielli.

Claudio Salocchi (1934-2012) was an Italian designer, whose skills extended across architecture, furniture, fashion, accessories and jewellery. He gained international recognition for his architectural designs, winning numerous awards both in his native Italy and in New York, and in addition to his post as vice-president of the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (ADI), he lectured at the University of Rome, and several other educational institutions in Italy.
