Description

  • pearl (probably natural pearls) gold, silver and diamonds
Set with a natural grey baroque-shaped pearl measuring approximately 20.0 x 16.1 x 12.8mm, to a scrolled foliate surmount set with circular-cut and rose diamonds.

Condition

Accompanied by GCS, report no. 78127-69, stating that the pearl is natural saltwater, the surface of the pearl has been worked, pearl measuring approximately 20.0 x 16.1 x 12.8mm. Pearl of light grey body colour, areas of brown to reverse, with yellow, pink and green overtones, slight banding to reverse, slight unevenness and slight pitting, crazing and minor surface imperfections to nacre. Diamonds bright and lively, mixed colours and clarities, estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.00 - 4.00 carats. Traces of solder to reverse. Overall dimensions approximately 55 x 50mm. Scratches to metal and nacre surfaces consistent with age and wear. Brooch fitting detachable, in good working order. In good condition.
