Of foliate design, set with circular-, single-cut and rose diamonds and natural pearls, maker's mark for René Lalique.

Condition

Accompanied by report no. 14130 from the Gem & Pearl laboratory, stating that the two largest pearls in the brooch, measuring approximately 7.0mm and 6.9mm diameter respectively, were found to be natural, saltwater. Brooch pin with French assay mark for 18 carat gold. Brooch fitting stamped Bve SGDG. Maker's mark R L with sword for René Lalique to stem. Pearls variying between cream, white and pinkish body colours with white, green and rose overtones, light pitting and scratches to nacre consistent with wear. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total carat weight approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats. Brooch fitting secure, possibly later, with traces of solder. Scratches and areas of discolouration to metal surfaces consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
