Designed as a blackamoor, the turban set with carved coral, the tunic decorated with circular-cut sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds, signed Nardi, French import mark.
Condition
Inscribed 750 for 18 carat gold. Signed G Nardi. Coral an even colour with typical fibrous structure visible. Sapphires dark blue, well matched in colour, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Diamonds bright and lively. Carved amber head with small chip in left hand ear. Some slight evidence of solder to reverse. In good condition.
