Applied with white lacquer fish scale decoration set with cabochon emeralds and pink sapphires, opening to reveal four compartments, measuring approximately 130 x 70 x 20mm, signed René Boivin, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

French assay marks for Silver. Signed Rene Boivin. Emeralds and rubies are well matched for colour. One emerald is a paste replacement. Cracks and loss to enamel. Evidence of re-enamelling. Hinge in good order. Light surface scratches to interior consistent with use. In good condition.
