Description
- Gold/Lapis Lazuli
Set with lapis lazuli cabochons within frames decorated with ivy leaves and corded wire motifs, length approximately 170mm, French assay and maker's marks, fitted case stamped Froment-Meurice, the exterior of the case with a monogram and an earl coronet.
Condition
Stamped with French eagles head and contremark for 18 carat gold. Makers mark possibly for Pierre Meurice, father of François-Désiré Froment-Meurice. Lapis well matched with natural inclusions visible. Clasp in good working order. Light surface scratches consistent with wear. In good condition.
