Description

The rectangular box applied with marble inlays, opening to reveal a cigarette compartment, measurements approximately 165 x 100 x 62mm, signed Cartier, French assay and maker's marks, together with four ashtrays, each measuring approximately 55 x 55 x 35mm, unsigned, three numbered. 

Condition

Case: French assay marks on hinges for gold and silver. Thumb piece signed Cartier Paris. Maker's marks. Ashtrays: three numbered- 98242, 8243 and 8241. Metal tarnished. Pyrite elements in marble tarnished. Case opens to reveal white marble interior, marble in lid with hairline fracture. Exterior with small chips to edges in places. Gross weight approximately 2,742 grams.
