Description

Respectively set with coral and lapis lazuli, both decorated with turquoise, rose and circular-cut diamonds, signed Cartier Paris, numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Each with French assay marks for 18 carat gold on pins, and 18 carat gold and platinum on reverse. Each signed Cartier Paris to reverse under pin fitting, coral brooch numbered 09548 and lapis brooch numbered 09509 to reverse. Each with partial French maker's marks. Coral orangey-pink, lapis deep blue, turquoise light greenish-blue, all opaque, with visible matrix inclusions to turquoise and calcite and pyrite inclusions to lapis. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.10 - 0.20 carats per brooch. Light scratches to stone, enamel and metal surfaces consistent with wear. Some chips to black enamel on coral brooch. Pin fittings secure. In good condition.
