Rock Crystal and diamond brooch, Suzanne Belperron, for René Boivin, circa 1935

The centre collet-set with a rectangular table-cut rock crystal set with a panel of cushion-shaped diamonds, the stepped sides set with cushion-shaped diamonds and step-cut rock crystal, length approximately 50mm, fitted case stamped René Boivin.

Accompanied by a certificate from Olivier Baroin no 170317, stating that the brooch was designed before 1935. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.30-5.20 carats total, estimated to be H-I colour and SI clarity on average. Central plaque is slightly loose in its setting. Side lozenges of rock crystal are all cracked. Pin fitting in good order. Surface scratches and nicks to metal consistent with wear. In good condition. Overall dimensions approximately 50 x 24mm.
