Description

  • Gold/enamel/diamonds
Of rectangular form, with concealed push-pieces at each side applied with black lacquer, the front collet-set with one baguette and two pear-shaped diamonds, opening to reveal a watch with a square white enamel dial with black Arabic numeral indicators, measuring approximately 43 x 31 x 7mm, dial signed Cartier, case numbered, French assay marks, maker's mark, fitted case stamped Cartier.

Condition

Interior of case behind hinged watch stamped 14K for 14 carat gold, stamped maker's mark, patent pending, numbered 5307 and 70037. Dial signed Cartier. Manual winding movement, working at the time of cataloguing. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its timekeeping. Sotheby's does not guarantee watch movements, and future servicing may be required at the buyer's expense. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats. Door opening mechanism intact and responsive, push pieces with good tension. Areas of wear to black lacquer coating of push pieces. Scratches to metal, lacquer and glass surfaces consistent with age and wear. Fitted case stamped Cartier Paris. In good condition.
