Designed as a rope of onyx beads, spaced by links set with pear-shaped cabochon emeralds, brilliant-cut diamonds, and onyx and ruby sections, length approximately 860mm, signed Marina B, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
French assay marks and stamped OR 750 for 18 carat gold, signed Marina B, French maker's mark P B and initialled MB for Marina B on clasp and clasp tongue. Numbered W347 on reverse of link near clasp. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.50 - 4.50 carats. Emeralds light green, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching. Chip to one emerald near clasp. Rubies mid purplish-red, transparent to translucent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching. Onyx beads black, opaque. String frayed in one section of the necklace, with some translucent brown breads possibly re-strung. Overall in good condition.
