Set with a step-cut ruby to a mount of quatrefoil shape pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, size L1/2, French assay marks.
Condition
French assay mark for 18 carat gold and stamped 750. Reverse of setting inscribed R.3.07 and B.3.98, referring to weights of the ruby and diamonds. Ruby measuring approximately 12.9 x 6.2 x 4.4mm Ruby stated to weigh 3.07 carats, ruby dark purplish red, transparent, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Diamonds stated to weight 3.98 carats, bright and lively. Scratches to mount consistent with wear. In good condition.
