Natural pearl and diamond pendant, 1900s

Designed as a bow, suspending a natural pearl drop measuring approximately 12.1 x 7.9 x 7.7mm within an open work laurel wreath and trellis design surround, millegrain-set with circular-cut diamonds, to a chain set with seed pearls, length approximately 415mm, fitted case stamped Koch.

Accompanied by Gem & Pearl Laboratory report no. 13752, stating that the pearl drop was found to be natural, saltwater. Pendant measuring approximately 60 x 30mm. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats. Main pearl measuring approximately 12.1 x 7.9 x 7.7mm, cream body colour with white overtones, slight pitting and scratches to nacre. Pearls have not been tested for natural origin. Bow and pearl pendant articulated. Evidence of minor solder repair to reverse of bow, and to parts of trellis design. Clasp secure. Light scratches to metal and nacre surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition. Fitted green case stamped Koch, Frankfurt, Baden Baden.
