Description

Claw-set with a cushion-shaped sapphire, the bale and crown set with circular-cut and rose diamonds, to a later fine link chain, length approximately 440mm.
Condition
Mounted in gold and silver. Sapphire measuring approximately 14.0 x 12.9 x 11.9mm, calculated to weigh approximately 18.91 carats, light/medium blue, transparent, typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface reaching fissures (one on the table/one on side facet), abrasions to facets consistent with wear). Diamonds bright and lively. Scratches to metal consistent with wear. Chain stamped with Italian maker's mark 944VI. Stamped Italy, 750 for 18 carat gold. Scratches to both pendant and chain consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
