Sapphire and diamond ring

Collet-set with a cabochon sapphire stated to weigh 7.56 carats, between heart-shaped diamond shoulders, size 52, French assay mark.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 80955, dated 2 July 2015, stating that the oval cabochon sapphire measuring approximately 11.20 x 8.60 x 7.30mm, calculated to weigh approximately 7.5 carats, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. French assay mark and stamped OR 750 for 18 carat gold. Inscribed S 7.56 and D 1.23, referring to the stated carat weight of the sapphire and to the stated total carat weight of the heart-shaped diamonds, respectively. Sapphire blue of strong saturation, with typical inclusions visible under close inspection, minor scratches. For more information on the sapphire, please refer to the SSEF report. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 4 grams.
