Description

  • Enamel, sapphires, diamonds, gold
One designed as a bird, applied with blue, red and green enamel, highlighted with single- and brilliant-cut diamonds, Italian maker's mark, the other of foliate design, applied with green guilloché enamel, the front set with circular-cut sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds.

Condition

Brooch designed as a bird with Italian maker's mark, stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Other brooch stamped 18K and 750 for 18 carat gold, inscribed ITALY. Blue and red enamel in overall good condition, with small scratches. Green enamel with nicks and two areas of loss, one large on the brooch of floral design. Sapphires well matched in colour, with small typical inclusions, scratches and nicks. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with wear. Clasps secure, sliding safety catches. Total gross weight approximately 72 grams.
