- Rubies, diamonds, gold
Comprising: a necklace pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds and accented with square-cut diamonds, supporting a collet-set cabochon ruby, to a clasp similarly set, length approximately 400mm, and a bracelet, length approximately 175mm, each with French assay marks.
Condition
Each piece with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Necklace inscribed R 25.03, D 1.04, R 5.92, D 2.09 and B 13.64, bracelet inscribed B 8.19, R 25.43 and DT 1.47, referring to the stated carat weights of the rubies and diamonds. Rubies stated to weigh a total of approximately 56.38 carats, well matched in colour, purplish red to red, translucent, with typical surface-reaching inclusions, scratches, one large cavity to the reverse. Diamonds stated to weigh a total of approximately 26.43 carats, on average G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as graded within the yellow gold mount. Signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with light use. Clasps secure, safety catches. In very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 81 grams.
