Set with an oval ruby stated to weigh 4.20 carats, surrounded with brilliant-cut diamonds, the mount further accented with similarly cut diamonds, size 51, French assay marks.

Condition

Maker's mark for Jacques Timey. French assay mark and stamped OR 750 for 18 carat gold. Inscribed B 2.17 and R 4.20, referring to the stated total carat weight of the diamonds and to the stated carat weight of the ruby. Ruby measuring approximately 10.98 x 8.60 x 4.20mm, stated to weigh 4.20 carats, red, with good transparency, small typical inclusions under 10x magnification, small nicks to the girdle, small chips to the pavilion. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Minor signs of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 11 grams.
