Set with an oval sapphire stated to weigh 4.25 carats, the mount accented with triangular diamonds, further pavĂ©-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, size 55, French assay mark.

Condition

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 66927, dated 4 March 2013, stating that the oval sapphire measuring approximately 11.55 x 7.00 x 5.75mm, calculated to weigh approximately 4.2 carats, stated to weigh 4.25 carats, is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. French assay mark and stamped OR 750 for 18 carat gold. Inscribed S 4.25, B 1.95 and BT 1.84, referring to the stated carat weight of the sapphire, to the stated total carat weight of the brilliant-cut diamonds and to the stated total carat weight of the triangular diamonds, respectively. Sapphire blue of strong saturation, with good transparency, small typical inclusions visible under close inspection, culet off-center. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.50 - 4.00 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the yellow gold mount. Minor signs of wear to the metal, signs of tearing to the shank. Gross weight approximately 10 grams.
