Coral, cultured pearl and chalcedony necklace

The trapezoidal gold plaque with a Mesopotamian motif, supporting a chalcedony, coral and cultured pearl pendant, to a chain composed of baton-shaped gold links alternating with coral beads and cultured pearls, length approximately 690mm, French assay and maker's marks.

French maker's mark. French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Coral well matched in colour, pink and whitish red, with growth marks, scratches, blemishes and small cavities. Cultured pearls of slightly cream body colour, with good skin and lustre, partly with rosé and green overtones, small growth marks, pinpoints and blemishes. Chalcedony blue, translucent, with scratches. Scratches to the metal consistent with use. In good condition. Total gross weight approximately 68 grams.
