- Crocodile leather, sapphire, gold
The rectangular wallet of crocodile leather, three sides applied with pinched gold cylinders, opening to reveal four compartments, measurements approximately 170 x 95 x 5mm, stamped Cartier, and a propelling pencil of stylised bamboo design, accented with a collet-set cabochon sapphire, signed Cartier, French assay and partial maker's marks.
Condition
Wallet stamped CARTIER, gold cylinders stamped 14K for 14 carat gold, measurements approximately 170 x 95 x 5mm. Leather with signs of wear, damaged on the corners, would benefit from a restoration. Propelling pencil signed Cartier, numbered 8521, French maker's marks and assay marks for 18 carat gold. Sapphires blue of strong saturation. Scratches to metal consistent with age and use. Total gross weight 99 grams.
