Purple sapphire and diamond ring, Gübelin

Set with an oval purple sapphire weighing 3.90 carats, surrounded with brilliant-cut and marquise-shaped diamonds, size 55, maker's mark for Gübelin.

Accompanied by GemTechLab report no. 17-B-4420, stating that the oval purple sapphire measuring approximately 10.5 x 8.5mm is of natural origin, with indications of thermal treatment. Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Maker's mark for Gübelin and inscribed SWISS. Oval purple sapphire weighing 3.90 carats and measuring approximately 10.59 x 8.55 x 4.90mm, purple of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, good transparency, minor nicks and cavities on the girdle; for more information on the purple sapphire, please refer to gemmological report. Diamonds bright and lively. Little signs of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 5 grams.
