Description

  • Emerald, rubies, diamonds, gold
Set with a step-cut emerald, the mount embellished with cabochon rubies and circular-cut diamonds, may be worn as a brooch, numbered, French assay and maker's mark for Cartier, together with a later chain, length approximately 410mm, signed Cartier, numbered.

Condition

Signed Cartier, numbered GZ3431 and LC832, partial French maker's mark for Cartier. French assay marks and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Emerald measuring approximately 14.03 x 10.47 x 3.10mm, green of medium strong saturation, with typical surface-reaching inclusions, small abrasions and nicks. Rubies well matched in colour, pinkish red of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, small abrasions. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of wear to the metal consistent with use, small signs of tarnish to the brooch clip. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 19 grams.
