Gem set and diamond brooch

Of giardinetto design, set with a carved emerald, circular- and single-cut diamonds, the floral motifs set with circular-cut sapphires, rubies, diamonds and diamonds of yellow tint, French import mark.

Please note that the diamonds of yellow tint have not been tested for natural origin. French import marks and stamped Pt 950 for platinum and 750 for 18 carat gold. Carved emerald in good condition, green of medium strong saturation, translucent, with a few minor scratches. Sapphires and rubies well matched in colour, blue of strong saturation and purplish red of medium strong saturation, with abrasions, a few nicks and chips. Diamonds of yellow tint well matched in colour. Near colourless diamonds bright and lively. Signs of wear to the metal, scratches to the gold. Clasp secure, sliding safety catch. In good condition. Dimensions approximately 55 x 32 x 15mm. Gross weight approximately 28 grams.
