Condition

This painting is wax lined. Under UV, areas of inpainting in the tiger’s body are evident in vertical lines corresponding to the former stretcher bar, on the tiger’s front leg, in a 1 x 4” area above his head, in spots in foliage and snow, in a vertical line addressing a possible scratch and in 2 lines addressing a possible previous tear in the extreme upper right.
