Condition
Overall very good original condition. The bronze surfaces present with an exceptionally rich russet brown and green patina. With some extremely light surface soiling and traces of oxidation to the recessed areas of the design. With a rare period Tiffany decorated favrile glass liner and cover, both in excellent condition. The liner and cover present with intense iridescence and a highly complementary orange and blue color palette. The ruffled molding is finely articulated, and such a dense surface texture catches the light beautifully, making the liner and cover brilliantly luminous. The lower portion of the liner with commonly seen scattered red spotting, which is inherent in the sprayed application of the iridescent surface treatment, not visually detracting. The glass with some extremely minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making. The underside of the liner with some adhesive residue. A superb example of the model displaying particularly fine casting detail, rich patina, and with a rarely-seen decorated favrile glass liner and cover.
