Condition

Overall good condition. The bowl with a few small areas of restoration throughout where transparent lacquer has been sensitively applied at some point in the history of the piece, which presents with a slightly glossier surface than the enamel and is not visually detractive. The largest of these areas is a thin linear area measuring approximately 1 inch long along one of the vertical vines. The surfaces throughout with some minor irregularities inherent in the making, not visually detractive. The bowl with a few areas of loss to the enamel, the largest measuring approximately ¾ x ½ inch on one of the green fruits. When viewed in person, the bowl presents with rich coloration and iridescence, and the finely articulated depiction of fruit in relief conforms beautifully to the shape of the vessel.
