Condition

Overall very good original condition. The bronze surfaces throughout present with a rich russet brown patina. With light surface soiling and minor traces of oxidation to the recessed areas. One of the lily pads with a few isolated areas of rubbing with an associated minute loss to the patina on the extreme edge of the pad. The silvered mirror plate appears to be original and undisturbed with a softly contoured beveled edge, which imparts the mirror with wonderful dimensionality. The mirror with some extremely minor scattered pitting at the extreme top and bottom of the mirror plate, visible in the catalogue illustration and not visually detractive. The mirror with a small irregularity in the silvering approximately one inch in from the widest part of the mirror. The glass surface with occasional extremely light and minor surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use. A rare, highly sculptural and naturalistic design with beautifully articulated details and dynamic twisted vine element encircling the mirror.
