Catalogue Note

Les Deux Gaspard was a vaudeville act performed by Joly and Philippe Gaspard. The scene on the present box between the caricatured characters Simplet, 'marchand de fagots' and l'Avisé, 'marchand de bas', was engraved by Maleuvre in 1817.
