Catalogue Note

"The Shakespeare Head Press was founded by A.H. Bullen in 1904, with the ambition of printing the complete works of Shakespeare in Stratford-on-Avon" (Colin Franklin, The Private Presses, London, 1969, p. 147). This, then, is the raison d'ĂȘtre of Bullen's enterprise and presented, here, in the rare vellum issue.
