Catalogue Note

A REMARKABLE ASSOCIATION COPY OF A RARE DARWIN FAMILY ITEM. As noted by Freeman, "this contains a large number of letters from Charles and is an important source of information about his day to day and family life". This copy was from the library of Bernard Darwin and includes his loosely inserted printed A Postscript to Emma Darwin: a Century of Family Letters comprising an account of Erasmus Darwin (1881-1915) who was killed during the First World War.
