Catalogue Note

On rare occasions, Diego Giacometti fitted his creations to his clients wishes. Thus he transformed the table-berceau for the princesse de Broglie by adding the head of her favorite dog Séraphine at the four corners of the table. He then used the model to create sculptures such as the present lot.
