Condition

Very good condition overall consistent with age and use. Scattered chips to the lacquered frame, as partially visible in the printed catalogue, which have since been sensitively restored. Left hand side proper: In addition to the scatered chips in the printed and online catalogues (now sensitively restored), there are a few fine hairline cracks in the lacquer, one running vertically on the front left bedpost, approximately 60cm long, one running horizontally along the side of the frame approximately 100cm long, and one running vertically on the rear left bedpost, approximately 50cm long. Flaking of the lacquer to the base of the rear left leg, which is covered with clear tape. Right hand side proper: Scattered chips throughout, concentrated to the base of the legs. Two fine hairline cracks to the lacquer, one running horizontally on the front right bedpost, approximately 12cm long, the other running vertically on the rear right bedpost, approximately 40cm long. Loss of lacquer to the base of the rear left leg exposing the wood, approximately 9x2cm. The central wooden element with fading, scattered scuffs and scratches and a hairline crack radiating from the left hand side proper as visible in the printed and online catalogues. The rear central panel with minor chips to the top edge as visible in the printed and online catalogues, which have since been sensitively restored.
