Condition

FR : Bon état général. Ce lot a été restauré sous le contrôle de la Fondation Alberto et Annette Giacometti. Traces de salissures éparses et petits manques de matière sur les rebords et aux angles. Deux traces d’une cassure ancienne restent légèrement visibles en surface et pourraient être aisément atténuées. EN : Good overall condition. This lot has been restored under the supervision of the Alberto and Annette Giacometti Foundation. Dirt scattered on the surface, minor lacks of plaster on the edges and the corners. Two traces of previous cracks remain slightly visible on the surface and could easily be reduced.

Catalogue Note

Georges Boulogne (1926-1992) spent his life expressing in plaster the research of the Renaissance’s masters on perspective. His works, executed in the round or in bas-relief are full of references to surrealism. He was close to Dali, whose portrait he realised.
