Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The canvas is unlined. There is evidence of wear to the edges and corners with minor associated pinpoint losses to the pigment along the turning edges. Under close inspection, there are faint scattered surface accretions and evidence of scattered fine stable hairline craquelure throughout the composition, also with some associated pinpoint losses to the pigment. There is some minor rippling noted on the canvas. Under very close inspection, there is a subtle vertical ridge noted 3 inches from the left edge and a subtle depression to the canvas at the lower left. There are minor scattered abrasions and scattered surface scratches with minor associated losses particularly at lower right near the stretcher and top left near the stretcher. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there are a few areas that fluoresce but do not appear to be as a result of restoration. Framed.
